Details:
These speakers are being listed for sale for a very close trusted friend and audio lover who runs the admin section for the BIGAZSPEAKERS forum. I know how much time and effort he put into finding these beauties and then putting more work in to recap, replace the foam insulation around the horn, polish up the wood, and so on. All of this was done on a prayer they would work in his narrow listening room. Unfortunately they simply need more space. I offered to post them on here to give my loyal customers a shot at them. 
 
Notes From The Owner (Andy): 
Recently recapped Altec Model 19 speakers.
Horns, drivers, and 416-8b woofers are original, in full working condition, and free from damage. 
These include the grills which have a couple of broken wood supports but still attach and work well. BIGAZSPEAKERS is willing to repair the grills on request. 
Also included is brand new replacement foam surrounds for the horns.
The Cabinets are very nice as shown in the photos. One cabinet is a little darker than the order, not uncommon, and the risers have some of the veneer chipping, but all else is healthy and beautiful.

I absolutely LOVE these speakers and spent a lot of money, time and energy to get them only to find (totally my fault) they’re just too large for my space.
These are“holy grail” speakers for many people. They are in excellent shape with some minor blemishes. I’m happy to discuss further details with interested parties who are serious.
I am willing to consider trades of equal or greater value. Some examples would be Cornwall IV (I would offer cash in addition to the trade) or McIntosh amps. Mainly these things. I am happy to audition for serious buyers only. These are 150 pounds each and, I’ll be honest, are a chore to set up and get into position. But once they’re up and running…fantastic. Please message with questions or to exchange phone numbers to further discuss. I am, in no way, desperate or in a hurry, waiting for the right buyer or trade partner to find them. For now, I won’t be too broken up if they end up staying with me. (Can not say my wife feels the same, however).
