## Own a Piece of Hi-Fi History: Sansui AU-777 Integrated Amplifier Just Recapped!

Calling all audio enthusiasts and vintage audio aficionados! This sale offers a chance to own the legendary Sansui AU-777, the first ever silicon transistor integrated amplifier from Sansui. This iconic amp marked a turning point in hi-fi history, and yours could be the centerpiece of your audio system.

**Why the Sansui AU-777?**

* **Pioneering Design:** This 1967 classic was the first of its kind for Sansui, ushering in the golden age of solid-state amplification. It represents a significant moment in audio equipment innovation.

* **Renowned Sound Quality:** Praised for its warm, detailed, and powerful sound reproduction, the AU-777 continues to impress audiophiles.

* **Ample Power:** With a conservative power rating of 60 watts per channel into 8 ohms, the AU-777 can drive a wide variety of speakers to deliver room-filling sound.

* **Classic Aesthetics:** The elegant silver faceplate and clean design with wooden accents are hallmarks of Sansui's timeless aesthetic.

**This particular Sansui AU-777 is in very good cosmetic condition with some minor wear very good for its age and would look lovely in most collections.

The unit has been fully recapped having all of the electrolytic capacitors upgraded and replaced.

All controls serviced, bias set. Audio output is fabulous. This is a special amp, not only due to being Sansui's first stereo transistor amplifier, but also that it captures the marvelous sound so heralded by Sansui's famous sound in their tube amplifiers with their Hashimoto output transformers (Hashimoto still making audiophile grade transformers in Japan to this day) that this amplifier replaced. In an A/B comparison vs my Sansui Q-3535 this early AU series was identical but with more gain. I have forever since been a fan. Point is, this series imo trumps the AU-717, 917, 517, etc much later series. The AU-7700-7900 mid series is special in their own right, but different direction than remaining tube sounding. Although I digress, put this amp on any pair of Klipsch Heritage, Altec Horns, JBL horns and you will absolutely love life and have no problem passing on the $4000 or higher McIntosh tube integrated or combo. This is very subjective I know, but I stand firm and have made many believers with this early Sansui series. Regardless my promise is audio bliss.

Just to add to the fun, this amp can also be used as an incredible Preamplifier. This meaning; let's say you have speakers needing more than 60wpc. Whelp, you can plug this baby in to your favorite power amplifier and have all the power you need yet retain the amazing sound of this unit. (90% of sound is in the preamp ((with very few exceptions))

Bundle Option:

I do also have a matching TU-777 Tuner I may be willing to bundle. I currently cannot find the switch covers for the tuner, which is why I left it out of a bundle for the time being. I did include one photo to show the tuner for any interested parties.
